What's the Big Deal?
I use Restaurant.com for, Anniversaries, Birthdays, Holidays, and Special Occasions. They are also perfect for getting a big group together for a rare night of enjoying each others company and you don't have to do the work! You also have the option of purchasing them for a gift!
I've had a few people ask if I know any good places on the list in St. Louis. A few that I have tried or have heard good things about are: d Dooleys, Rich and Charlies, Clark Street Grill, Johnny Gittos, and Mama Campisi's. Please leave a comment if you have places that you have tried and would recommend. Also add to the list if you are an out of town reader so others in your area will have a place to start!
Make sure you look at the participation requirements prior to purchasing your gift certificates. I have never found it hard to meet and exceed the requirements.
Here are a few customer comments from users of Restaurant.com:
Hey Everybody!
I'm new to your service and LOVE it! What a great instant gift! I buy it and send it to them immediately. Look at all the money I'm saving! No postage, wrapping paper, no time spent looking or packing! I'm forwarding a couple of the ones that I purchased and I'm sure that's going to be the first 2 of possibly thousands to come!
Thanks so much and Happy Holidays!Anna L.
I am happy I have the opportunity to purchase certificates and try restaurants I would not have considered trying before. I'm sure I will have great dining experiences.
I also love the ability to download the gift certificates. I can use them right away.

I use Restaurant.com ALL of the time. The deals are great. 400 Olive was a very pleasant surprise...best salmon I have ever tasted.
We love Manee Thai in Ballwin for Thai food, and it is usually a favortie place for people who love Thai. I received $100. voucher for restaurant.com so I had to go to the website and choose which restaurant certificates I wanted to purchase using the $100 credit. I have used one so far, it is so easy it almost makes you wonder what's up. The only thing to keep in mind is if it is dine-in only or if weekends are excluded. I love it and am happy getting $50. of food for $10 cash! We got two appetizers, drinks, etc...
We really enjoy J Bucks, but after tomorrow, the 15th, they are changing ownership, so be sure and call ahead if you have one to see if they are still accepting these.
We like Roosters and Bailey's.
Can you use more than one certificate if it doesn't mention that restriction? For instance, if you have to spend $50, can you use two $25 certificates to reach that if it doesn't say "limit one per table"? Just curious!! Thanks!
LOVE that site; I try to wait until they have their 80% off sale usually before buying, but 60% is good too!
We've had good luck using their certificates (and with good food) at Del Pietro's (Italian, South City); Aya Sofia (Mediterranean, South City; The Chocolate Bar (fancy desserts, cheeses and martinis--yum!, Lafayette Square) and the Tortillaria (Mexican, Central West end).
I've the restaurant.com at Magpies which is located downtown St Charles. The potato soup is really good!
