Head out with the kids to the February 6th Free Kids Workshop at Home Depot from 09:00 AM – 12:00 PM where they can make a Valentines Mailbox.
Description:
-Join our hands-on workshop and build a wooden Valentines mailbox to hold all your child’s valentine cards from their favorite friends. After the mailbox is built, your child can personalize their project with paint.
-All kids get to keep their craft, receive a FREE certificate of achievement, a Workshop Apron, and a commemorative pin while supplies last.
-Children must be present at the store to participate in the workshop and receive the kit, apron and pin.

Mardi Gras Parade
Saturday, February 06, Parade Begins at 11:00 a.m.
Soulard Neighborhood, Starting at Busch Stadium and Ending at Anheuser-Busch Brewery

FREE EVENT
The Bud Light Grand Parade is the Midwest’s largest and most spectacular pre-Lenten celebration. The parade begins just south of Busch Stadium and winds through the streets of Downtown South and Soulard to the Anheuser-Busch Brewery. Krewes from over 100 floats will toss over 10,000,000 strands of beads and other sought-after goodies to celebratory masses gathered along the route.
After the parade, stick around to enjoy entertainment including the Bud Light Block Party, the High Heel Drag Race, live music at neighborhood venues, and a giant post-parade street party and celebration held throughout Soulard.
Magic House
Start the month off right with some fun at The Magic House! On the first Friday of every month from 4:00 to 7:00 pm, kids are invited to spend some FREE time getting fit at the Museum’s Fit Kid: Free Kid evenings sponsored by Centene Charitable Foundation.
Kids 14 and under are invited to complete a fitness challenge upon arrival to earn free admission to the event! Regular admission rates will apply to those 15 years of age and older.
Fit Kid: Free Kid gives families the opportunity to play their way to a healthier lifestyle and feature a variety of health and fitness activities with different partners and themes each month.

Missouri History Museum
Each week the Missouri History Museum hosts Storytelling at the Museum. The programs engage young visitors and their families in historic objects and museum settings by using traditional and contemporary storybooks. Children also enjoy a hands-on craft. Each 45-minute session is FREE in the History Clubhouse.
This program is recommended for children ages 2–5. Kids only (adults welcome with children).

CATS and DOGS February 6th
Science Center
Learn the real science behind science fiction at the Science Center’s First Fridays events! Each month has a different theme, features free hands-on activities and culminates with a free 10pm screening of a classic science fiction move in the OMNIMAX® Theater. First Friday favorites like public telescope viewings, scifi trivia and special prices for OMNIMAX® films are a staple at every event.
Tickets for the free 10pm show are available starting at 6pm on the evening of the First Friday event and are distributed on a first come, first served basis. First Friday activities such as our presentations, sci-fi trivia, 10pm sci-fi film, etc. are primarily designed for adults and recommended for audiences 16 years and older. Our public telescope viewings and free 7pm Planetarium show are recommended for all ages.
