“Pumpkinland” at Thies Farm:
This month long festival is assured fun for all ages with straw mazes, slides, swings, cable gliders, wagon rides, petting zoo, concessions, crafts, and of course PUMPKINS!! Group rates are available but a reservation is required for groups.
Pumpkinland is open Tuesday-Sunday throughout the month of October at both the Maryland Heights and North Hanley locations. The farm markets at all three locations is still open 7 days a week. Opens September 27th

U-pick pumpkins, Already picked pumpkins, Mums, Gourds, Corn Stalks, Indian Corn and more…. Farm Animals on display, Hayrides, Pony Rides, Fort Spooky, Corn Maze, Inflatable Farm Train, Inflatable Slide, Inflatable Haunted House and more… (Pony Rides, Inflatable Farm Train and Inflatable Slide only on weekends)
Great Godfrey Corn Maze:
The giant maze is cut into seven acres of cornfield. The maze is open during the day, but bring a flashlight and try the Haunted Maze at night. The Haunted Maze is open Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays in October. Tickets are $6 for adults and $4 for children. Kids under five get in free through October 30, 2011.
Eckert’s Pumpkin Jamboree & Haunted Hayride
There’s lots of ghoulish fun for young and old during this hayride through Eckert’s haunted orchard. Haunted hayrides take place every Friday and Saturday night (after the sun goes down) through October 29th. Fee charged.
Ride the wagons out to the pumpkin patch to search for your great pumpkin. Our pumpkins range from a couple of pounds to more than 150 pounds so we are sure to have the perfect jack-o-lantern for you! Wagon rides, country music, live entertainment, pony rides, funnel cakes and festival foods make this a fun-filled weekend for everyone! Children’s activities. Petting farm.

Magic House’s Not-So-Haunted House

It’s the Not-So-Haunted House that is oh-so-fun! Kids of all ages are invited to dress in their most “boo-tiful” Halloween costumes and have a ghoulishly good time trick-or-treating and getting autographs from their favorite storybook characters. This year’s Halloween event will include a special visit from more than 15 storybook characters from favorite children’s tales such as The Wizard of Oz, Harry Potter, Peter Pan, Alice in Wonderland and more.
Each child attending this “spooktacular” event will receive a trick-or-treat bag and an autograph book for the not-so-spooky characters to sign as they trick-or-treat throughout four levels of the more than 100-year-old Not-So-Haunted House. While the Not-So-Haunted House won’t be scary, our Electro-Static Generator will make your hair stand on end!
Cost: Free with regular Museum admission.
The Magic House Happy, Healthy Halloween

New this year, The Magic House is hosting a Happy, Healthy Halloween sponsored by St. Louis Children’s Hospital. This all-day, candy-free celebration includes half-price admission for children in costume, a trick-or-healthy-treat scavenger hunt throughout the Museum where children can collect active play treats, as well as a cardio dance party and hands-on fitness activities with St. Louis Children’s Hospital scheduled throughout the day.
Cost: Free with regular Museum admission.
Boo at the Zoo Spooky Saturday

Encounter surprises and goodies along the way, along with your favorite costumed characters, magicians and entertainment. Be sure to come and show off your costume at this event. There are plenty of photo opportunities including haystacks, pumpkins, and of course, animals!
Boo at the Zoo Nights
Come explore the Zoo after dark during the special Halloween evenings: Boo at the Zoo Nights, October 17-30, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.! This non-scary, kid-friendly Halloween experience is filled with laughs and adventure.
Friendly ghosts, howling goblins and you are invited
to be guests at the Halloween Party sponsored by the St. Charles Parks and Recreation Department. There will be a spooky haunted house and a hayride as well as fun games for everyone to participate in.

Purina Farms Haunted Hayloft
Kids can go trick-or-treating, enjoy magic shows, face painting, storytelling, canine performances, participate in a costume contest and take a look at adoptable dogs. October 17 – 19 and 24 – 26.

Six Flags St. Louis Fright Fest:
In addition to the world-class line-up of thrill rides, the theme park will transform into a 100-acre “scream park” with additional themed shows and attractions.
Amid thousands of mums, cornstalks, hay bales, cobwebs and oversized spiders, you can roam the haunted midways and encounter “Thrills by Day, Fright by Night,” entertainment. Fright Fest will run every Friday evening, Saturday and Sunday October 3 – November 2.

This is a great, safe Halloween opportunity for your children. Reservations must be made by calling (314) 738-2599 by Monday, Oct. 27. In the case of inclement weather, the parade will be held at the indoor mall.
Fall Festival and Pumpkin Races in Des Peres Park
Join us for a free, fabulous fall evening at the park. Enjoy Blue grass music, hayrides, pumpkin races and a Disney Pixar family movie under the stars, Frozen (rated PG). Bring your lawn chairs and coolers with your favorite snacks and beverages. Glass bottles are not permitted. Concessions are available for purchase from 5-8 p.m. courtesy of Boy Scout Troop 313.

Celebrate Halloween at CAM with a fun-filled day of artist-led workshops, face painting, storytelling, music, and more. Enjoy the festivities, express yourself creatively, and learn about the art on view.
In tandem with Mel Chin: Rematch, Lead Safe St. Louis will be on site to promote lead poisoning awareness, and CAM will present special Fundred Dollar Bill Project drawing sessions.
Visitors in costume will be entered in a drawing to win a special prize!
Sunset Hills Halloween Event
