Veterans Day is November 11th and many restaurants and stores are showing their support and thanking our active military and veterans for their service with discounts and some freebies. Proof of service such as a military ID is typically required and a few businesses will allow dressing in uniform as a form of identification.
The majority of discounts are valid only on Veterans Day, unless otherwise noted and available at participating locations. Some exclusions apply. Please note this is a nationwide list.
54th Street Bar and Grill: Veterans and active duty military get a free meal (up to $12 value) on Veterans Day. Dine-in only.
Krispy Kreme: Free Small Coffee and Doughnut for Veterans and Active Duty, no id required, Nov. 11th
O’Charleys: Free $9.99 Entree, specific menu items included see your local restaurant for details. Valid Nov. 11th and 12th.
Applebee’s: Applebee’s offers veterans and active duty military a free meal on Nov. 11.
Back Yard Burgers: Free burgers for military members on Nov. 11. No purchase necessary. Must be in uniform, or show military ID, discharge papers or proof of service.
Bar Louie: Free meal for vets and active military from open to close on Nov. 11 at Bar Louie locations around the country. Offer includes a free burger or flatbread (up to $15 value). Military ID required. Plus, Nov. 5 through Nov. 12, guests can donate via an add-on to their checks to Operation Homefront.
Bob Evans: Veterans can get a free meal ordered from a special Veterans Day menu, available Nov. 11 at all locations.
BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse: All current and retired military get a free entree (up to a $12.95 value), plus a free Dr. Pepper beverage on Nov. 11. Dine-in only. Plus, throughout the whole month of November, current and retired military can reserve a “free Pizookie dessert”, which will be purchased by guests who have opted to contribute $1 extra on their checks to the “Buy a Hero a Pizookie” program.
California Pizza Kitchen: Veterans and active duty military get a complimentary entree on Nov. 11 from CPK’s special Veterans Day menu at participating locations. Plus, participating guests will get a buy-one-get-one card to redeem on pizza, pasta or salad during a future visit (Nov. 12 to 18) while supplies last.
Chevy’s Fresh Mex: Veterans and current service members get a three-item combo on Nov. 11 (Tacos, Enchiladas, Flautas, Tamales, Chile Relleno). Must present valid ID.
Chili’s: Free meal for veterans and active duty military Nov. 11. See the special Veteran’s Day Menu.
Chipotle: Buy-one-get-one-free on dine-in purchases at Chipotle on Veterans Day. Valid on burritos, bowls, salads and taco orders. This offer is valid for active duty military, veterans, reserves, national guard, military spouses and retired military. Limit of one free menu item with military ID.
Famous Dave’s: Free 2 Meat Salute for veterans Nov. 11 and 12. Choose two different meats from: Georgia Chopped Pork; Country Roasted Chicken; BBQ Chicken; Sweetwater Catfish Fingers; Southside Rib Tips; Texas Beef Brisket and Hand Breaded Chicken Tenders. Choice of one side and a Corn Bread Muffin.
Friendly’s: Free breakfast, lunch or dinner at Friendly’s to veterans and active military with a valid military ID or honorable discharge card on Nov. 11. The free breakfast includes the Big-Two-Do Breakfast, and lunch/dinner includes the All-American Burger with fries.
Golden Corral: Military Appreciation night is on Nov. 12 (observed Veterans Day) from 5pm to 9pm. Anyone who has served in the U.S. military is eligible to receive a free meal. Guests (including family) are welcome to join, but pay full menu pricing. Dine-in only.
HomeTown Buffet: Military Monday happens to fall on observed Veterans Day (Nov. 12). Show proof of service and get special discounts for yourself and up to three family members. Discounted prices are $1.99 for a kids meal, $6.29 for lunch and $9.29 for dinner.
Hooter’s: Free meal for active duty and retired military on Nov. 11. Must purchase a beverage to get this deal and order from a special Veterans Day menu.
Little Caesars: Free $5 Hot N Ready Lunch Combo for veterans and active military Nov. 11 from 11am to 2pm.
Logan’s Roadhouse: Free American Roadhouse Meal for veterans and active duty Nov. 11, from 3pm to 6pm. See the special menu.
McCormick & Schmick’s: Vets and Gold Star Honorees (parents and spouses) can get a free lunch or dinner on Nov. 11. Options include Salmon Rigatoni, Tender Beef Medallions, Beer Battered Fish & Chips and more. See the full Veterans Day menu.

On the Border: Veterans with a valid military ID or proof of service get a free Create-Your-Own-Combo 2 Meal. Served with Mexican rice and beans, plus endless chips and salsa.
Red Robin: Free Red’s Tavern Double Burger and bottomless steak fries for vets and active duty Nov. 11.
Romano’s Macaroni Grill: Will offer a free Mom’s Ricotta Meatballs + Spaghetti entrée this Veteran’s Day (Sunday, Nov. 11) at all U.S. locations. All veterans and active military can enjoy this complimentary meal simply by presenting military ID or proof of service.
Ryan’s: Every Monday is Military Monday at Ryan’s, and it happens that Veterans Day observed (Nov. 12) is a Monday this year. Military members (with ID) can get special discounts for themselves and up to three family members who dine with them. Discounted prices are $1.99 for a kids meal, $6.29 for lunch and $9.29 for dinner.
Spaghetti Warehouse: Use this printable coupon to get an offer for buy-one-get-one-free entrees Nov. 9 to 11. Limit of two offers per table.
Texas Roadhouse: Free lunch for veterans and active duty Nov. 11, from 11am to 2pm.
Bonefish Grill: Active and retired service members with valid military ID get a free appetizer, such as the Mussels Josephine, Calamari, Imperial Dip or Bang Bang Shrimp on Nov. 11.
Buffalo Wild Wings: Participating Buffalo Wild Wings restaurants will offer free small boneless or traditional wings and fries for all veterans and active duty service members. Dine-in only. Military ID required.
Cracker Barrel: Veterans and active duty military receive a free piece of Coca-Cola Cake on Nov. 11.
Dunkin’ Doughnuts: On Nov. 11, veterans and active duty military can receive a free donut at participating Dunkin’ locations, no purchase necessary.
Huddle House: Free Sweet Cake plate for veterans and active duty military Nov. 9 through 12. Military ID required.
Menchie’s: Free 6-oz. frozen yogurt for military members on Nov. 11.
Pilot Flying J: Nov. 10 to 12, active duty and retired military veterans can redeem an offer in the myPilot app that’s good for a free Pilot Coffee (any size) with choice of a fresh breakfast sandwich, packaged pastry item or a Cinnamon Center of the Roll.
Potbelly: Show a military ID and get a free cookie with any purchase on Nov. 12.
