Learn the real science behind science fiction and mingle with others interested in the geekier side of life. Each month, First Friday features a different theme, hands-on activities, pub-style trivia, engaging presentations, photo opps for showing off your costume, and food and drink specials.
The evening culminates with a free screening of a classic science fiction movie or episode. First Friday favorites like public telescope viewings, a free 7 PM Planetarium star show, and special prices for our special exhibition are a staple at every event.
This months First Friday theme March 6th: Blade Runner
Human or replicant? How close, or far, are we from living in the world of Blade Runner? Learn about the science and importance of the movie from a panel of experts, try your hand at unicorn origami, and ponder the future of electric sheep.

Know before you go:
Please arrive early and plan ahead for parking. We will have $5 preferred parking in the Oakland Lot. Members can park in the Oakland Lot for free.*
Free parking will be available at the Forest Park Community College garage near the intersection of Oakland and Macklind and free parking in the McDonnell Planetarium lot and around the Planetarium in Forest Park.
